Our knitting group is going really well - more and more people are interested and our problem now is accomodating everyone to a night that suits them. Two more members turned up on Tuesday, so we had knitting tutorials. There may be another s'n b group in Geneva and we might merge with them. Can't be a bad thing.
I'm dying to post pictures of the latest addition to my stash, after visiting www.ladroguerie.com in Paris last weekend. Purchases made include two big skeins of fruity red and burnt orange cotton for a stripey jumper and a warm, sheep-y looking bulk of creamy brown mohair for my first jumper. For me.
Am hoping for a new knitting magazine from the UK to be brought over today - called 'Simply Knitting' - have heard a lot about it, and this month's edition has six Rowan patterns, apparently. There is not much available here in Switzerland - all I can get hold of is Philadar magazines from their shops in France.
Will post more when I can stick pictures up, not that they're going to be amazing, though!

Autumn is drawing near and, having had a break from my knitting addiction over the summer, it seems timely to ogle my stash and plan juicy new knitting projects. I am currently working on four things:
I'll try and post pics of all these once I work out how to upload images.
- a lacy scarf in burnt orange mohair
- what I hope will be a chunky cream blanket (Rowan big wool)
- an experimental piece made with mohair and ribbon
- the first part of a coloured strip of what will be a colourful child's blanket.

This the first post. I just want to see if this works.
